October 8, 2009 NOTICE TO RESEARCHERS: New Requirement to Complete Question 4.6 on Human Ethics Applications:

UBC has agreed to participate in a Canada-wide collaborative effort to expedite research studies that are time-sensitive in nature and related to public health emergencies such as pandemics (including H1N1). In order to facilitate this process, researchers are now required to complete question 4.6 A of the research ethics application form, so that the Board and Research Ethics Administration can ensure that these studies are dealt with in accordance with the collaborative review process. This requires that all applicants must complete question 4.6.A. If you do not complete this question, when the application is submitted you will be required to go back to complete the field. We apologize for not having provided researchers with prior notice of this change.

July 27, 2009 RISe System Upgrade and Maintenance Shutdown July 31 to Aug 1 and Aug 2, 2009:

The RISe Development Team will be working with UBC IT Services to move the RISe system to a more efficient and functional hardware infrastructure.

RISe Hardware Upgrade – July 31, 2009 system shutdown at 16:00 PST and then system live again at 17:00 PST August 1, 2009
Maintenance Shutdown – August 2, 2009 – 02:00 to 08:00 PST
